About Little Leaves

Little Leaves is an intensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Designed for children up to age 6 who have been recommended for ABA therapy, Little Leaves effectively provides early autism services and behavior therapy to young children in need.

Our Approach

Little Leaves provides high-quality, center-based ABA therapy for children ages 1 to 6 with autism. Our program is individualized, comprehensive, and designed to help each child build the skills they need to thrive. As a BHCOE-accredited provider, families can trust that their child is receiving care that meets the highest standards in the field.

Our Team

Our program is supervised by master’s- and doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and delivered by expertly trained therapists.

Within Little Leaves, we have created a model for our professionals to collaborate on treatment approaches, share best practices, and continuously learn from each other. Your child will be supported not just by his or her immediate team, but also by the decades of experience and expertise of all of our clinicians, many of whom have studied and trained in the finest ABA programs in the world.

  • Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Traci brings a warm and welcoming presence to our team as Office Manager. Since joining in September 2024, she has drawn on over 30 years of experience teaching and caring for children. Before stepping into her current role, she served as Assistant Director of a preschool, where she developed a strong foundation in early childhood education and leadership. Her deep understanding of children’s needs, paired with her calm and steady approach, makes her an invaluable part of our team. Traci is passionate about creating supportive, well-organized environments where both staff and families can thrive.
  • Brittney RIck-Betancourt Headshot
    “Brittney is a seasoned professional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with 15 years of experience, including 12 years at Little Leaves. She holds a BA in Psychology from Towson University, where she completed multiple internships at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s neurobehavioral outpatient and inpatient units. She also served as a research assistant in the Cognitive Development Lab. Brittney earned an MA in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University, specializing in atypical development and neuro-affirming practices. She completed board certification coursework at the Florida Institute of Technology and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2017. As a dedicated researcher, Brittney’s work has been presented at regional conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has been interviewed and published as an autism advocate by media outlets such as Care.com, PARENTS magazine, and National Public Radio. She is an active member of the Florida Association of Behavior Analysis and the Association for Behavior Analysis International.”

    Isabella Lanz, M.A., BCBA, is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who has been with Little Leaves Behavioral Services since 2021. Within Little Leaves, she has held roles as a Registered Behavior Technician, trainer, and behavior specialist before becoming a Supervising Behavior Analyst. She currently supports the Weston center and has provided supervision across other South Florida locations, including Coral Springs and Miami Lakes. Isabella earned her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in ABA from Nova Southeastern University and her M.A. in Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care that supports meaningful growth and independence for every child.

    Carlos Lopez, M.A., BCBA is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst that has worked with Little Leaves Behavioral Services since January 2022 providing early intervention serivces to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families at the Weston, FL location. Prior to working at Little Leaves, Carlos has worked in the field of ABA since November 2012; gaining experience from serving a wide range of cases, age-ranges, as well as a variety of organizations and therapeutic settings.

    Allison Lopez, M.S., BCBA, is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst that has worked with Little Leaves Behavioral Services for over three years providing early intervention services to children with autism spectrum disorder at the center in Weston, Florida. Allison has been working in the ABA field since 2017 and has previously worked as a registered behavior technician and behavior specialist before becoming a Supervising Behavior Analyst with Little Leaves. Before coming to Little Leaves, Allison earned a master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis at Nova Southeastern University.

  • Little Leaves primarily offers center-based services for young children with autism which are run in a preschool-like setting.  At the center, each client works one-on-one with a trained behavior technician on individualized goals with a focus on social communication, social interactions, and school readiness skills. Our program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.  During the day, children have the opportunity to participate in individual therapy time, small group activities with peers, and activities of daily living.  While many clients are at our centers for the full day, an individualized schedule is developed for each child based on his/her therapeutic needs. Little Leaves also works with clients in their homes, daycares, and preschools, most frequently when clients are ready to transition from a Little Leaves center into community setting.

  • Little Leaves serves children with Autism. With our focus on early intervention, Little Leaves works primarily with children from the time they are diagnosed until they enter kindergarten.

  • Little Leaves only provides ABA therapy but we regularly collaborate with a child’s speech and OT providers to ensure a coordinated team-approach to treatment.  At our centers, we are usually able to accommodate outside therapy providers who would like to come in to see clients during the day.
