Little Leaves Center Director Brittney Rick-Betancourt was featured as an expert source in WLRN, NPR’s South Florida News Station’s newest article “Prepare, be flexible: How to create a joyful holiday experience for children with autism”, focused on resources and strategies families can look to for support in handling what can be a stressful holiday season. The article addresses direct tips for hosting, traveling, and handling the changes in a child’s routine due to the holiday season.
“Help is out there,” Rick-Betancourt said. “We want to make sure that families don’t feel alone. We want to make sure that everybody feels supported.”
