Heather Barsalona, M.S., BCBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who received her B.S. in Child Development from Florida State University and her M.S. in Counseling with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University.  She has more than 15 years of experience working with children under 5 with autism spectrum disorder and their families.  Previously, she worked as the coordinator for a university-based parent-child program serving children under 3.  While coordinating this program, she provided training to parents within a classroom environment that focused on increasing their child’s communication, social and school readiness skills. Most recently, she held a behavior analyst position at a pre-school serving over 100 children with autism. Her role included assisting in assessment and goal development, conducting functional behavior assessments, developing positive behavior intervention plans, and providing training to staff
